SHALL UNITE PRIVACY POLICY (“Privacy Policy”)

Our intentions

Shall Unite is a central platform facilitating communication, networking, education, and entertainment for children and providing a secure one-stop solution where children, parents, and teachers can exchange ideas and content with other children, parents, and teachers. At Shall Unite, We love building partnerships with parents, children, schools, and teachers. Shall Unite disregards skin color, origin, gender, and religion, and everyone is invited.

At Shall Unite, We differ from other social networks in that We have dedicated Our platform entirely to teachers, parents, and their children. Our efforts and actions make Shall Unite a unique place for them to forge partnerships and interact. Our ethics lie at the heart of what We provide and are crucial to providing a respectful environment within which We can fulfill an educative mission with an open mind and a slice of fun.

Our guidelines:

  • Fundamental safety in relationships,
  • An education led by local schools and their teachers but not limited to that alone,
  • A comprehensive choice of entertainment for children,
  • A meeting place that is open to the world and where differences are respected.

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on collecting, using, and disclosing your information when You use the Service and tells You about your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service and the sub-account(s) You may create for your children.
Advertising shield is a paid service proposed by Us to remove advertising from your Shall Unite account. Please see Advertising Shield in Our Privacy Policy for more details.
Children mean your child or children, or, given the context, the child or children of other parents.
Classmates mean the children participating in the same classroom(s) as your children.
Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us,” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to Shall Unite Pte Ltd, 150 Cecil Street, #03-02, Singapore 069543.
For the purpose of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), the Company is the Data Controller.
Cookies are small files placed on your computer, mobile device, or any other device by a website, containing the details of your browsing history on that Website among its many uses.
Country refers to the place of your residence
Data Controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation(“GDPR”), Data Controller refers to the Company as the legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing Personal Data, alone or jointly with others.
Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a computer, a cellphone, a digital tablet, etc.
Member (referred to as either “Member” or “User” in this Agreement) means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the Company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable. See the You definition below.

Products refer to Shall Unite Services and our proprietary Items or services sold in Our marketplace.
Registration Process refers to your Sign-up to the Service. Given the nature of the Service, We strive to ensure that the parent’s identity is genuine. Please refer to the section “Our Rules” in our Terms of Use for further details.
Service refers to the Shall Unite Websites, software applications, and associated services provided (For example, the Advertising Shield or the Storage).
Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, provide the Service on behalf of the Company, perform services related to the Service, or assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used. For the purpose of the GDPR, Service Providers are considered Data Processors.
System refers to the Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) and the administrative and financial organization of the Company.
Third-party Social Media Service refers to any website or any social network website through which a Member can log in or create an account to use the Service.
Treasure refers to a stored credit system where parents can purchase Our vouchers to pay for Our Services or Products. Parents can top up the value in the Treasure and distribute the stored credit among their children. Please see more details about the Treasure in our Privacy Policy.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by service usage or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
Website refers to Shall Unite, accessible from www.shallunite.com and any other associated Website using [prefix].shallunite.[extension].
You mean the individual accessing or using the Service, or the Company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable. Because of the nature of the Service, parents are responsible for their children’s actions on the Service. Children registered by You are considered as an extension of You.

Therefore, You collectively mean yourself and your children.

Under GDPR , You can be referred to as the Data Subject or the Member as You are the individual using the Service.

Use of your Personal Data

We store neither the scan of your I.D. requested during the registration process nor your selfie. These elements are also deleted from our authentication partner’s servers immediately after completing the process.

  • To provide and maintain our Service, including monitoring our Service’s usage.
  • To manage your Account: to manage your registration as a Member of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different Service functionalities available to You as a registered Member.
  • For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance, and undertaking of any contract with Us including Our obligations under the Terms of Use to provide our Services to You and for the products, items, or services You have purchased through Our Service
  • To contact You: To contact You by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as a mobile application’s push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products, or contracted services, including the security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.
  • To provide You with news, special offers, and general information about other goods, services, and events that we offer similar to those You have already purchased or enquired about unless You have opted not to receive such information.
  • To manage your requests: To attend and manage your requests to Us.
  • To deliver targeted advertising to You: We may use your information to develop and display content and advertising (and work with third-party vendors who do so) tailored to your interests and/or location and measure its effectiveness.
    • Advertising shield: If You do not want to view advertising when using Shall Unite services and do not wish to adjust your browser settings on your own to opt-out of such advertising by our Service Providers, You can subscribe to Our Advertising Shield. By subscribing to the Advertising Shield, You will not view any advertising in your newsfeed. However, if your Children’s school decides to get their services sponsored by a third party, You may view the following including but not limited to the sponsor’s name, brand logo, or both on some pages, such as the classroom, or school notices and information.
  • For business transfers: We may use your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Data held by Us about our Service Members is among the assets transferred.
  • For other purposes: We may use your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns, and evaluating and improving our Service, products, services, marketing, and your experience.

We may share your personal information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share your personal information with Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, to show advertisements to You to help support and maintain Our Service, to advertise on third-party websites to You after You visit our Service, for payment processing, to contact You.

Similarly, other Members will be able to view descriptions of your activity, communicate with You, and view your profile.

Retention of your Personal Data

The Company will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Shall Unite Treasure

Our Treasure system is where You can top up funds, and You or your Children can use that to buy goods and services from the Shall Unite Service’s marketplace. The Treasure is credited by the mean of a topup paid by your credit card. The Treasure is not a banking service, and therefore it does not generate interest. Instead, it is a place where You can store some money to distribute it among your children.

Children’s Privacy

Children below the age of 18 cannot register directly for the Service. However, our registration process always forwards their request to their parent for consent, unless their parent turn off the parent consent request in their settings.

Given the nature of the Shall Unite Service (Please read the chapter “Our Intentions” at the beginning of Our Privacy policy) Parents, by registering their Children to the Shall Unite Service, give their consent to the Service to collect, use, and store Children’s personal information that is necessary for the Service functionalities. That applies to all Children below the age of 18.

Parents can unsubscribe their Children at any time from Shall Unite.

If We need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your information and your country requires consent from a parent, We may require your Parent’s consent before We collect and use that information.

Information Collected from Children Under the Age of 13

The Company may collect and store persistent identifiers such as cookies or I.P. addresses from Children without parental consent to support the internal operation of the Service.

We may collect and store other personal information about children if a child submits this information with prior parental consent or by the child’s parent or guardian.

The Company may collect and store the following types of personal information about a child when submitted by a child with prior parental consent or by the parent or guardian of the child:
